At Proof we needed to raise money to release a new Wooden Sunglasses model so we didn’t go to an angel investor who would get part of our company we went to kickstarter to raise the funds.

It’s been a lot of fun and the landscape is changing. You don’t need to have a huge crew of people to make a lot of noise and get things done. We really rely on resources that are around us that allow us to move very quickly and react to changes in the market.

We have done a lot of talking about what is more important, team, product, market. (market usually wins). How would you guys describe these three components to your startup?

That’s probably true. We hit high marks in all so it seems to work pretty well. But you can have a great team fail. and a great product, like wood sunglasses, or market and still fail.
